University Advisory Council on Internal Communications

Charge

The University Advisory Council on Internal Communication will serve as an advisory/working group that will:

  • provide feedback from the ̳ community
  • advise on policies and initiatives and guide priorities
  • assist with communication tasks and initiatives, and
  • educate the community on the role and responsibilities of students, employees, and other stakeholders to stay informed.

Goal

To build trust among and within the ̳ community through better internal communication.

Role

Provide feedback from all internal stakeholders to the Director of Internal Communications and the President to create a communication strategy that leads to improved morale, employees feeling valued, a better-informed campus and overall institutional strength.

Assist with establishing and supporting initiatives that breakdown the perception of silos, engender a collective mindset and shapes expectations for the ̳ community regarding the needs, challenges, and realistic solutions for internal communications.
