Overview
Earn two degrees in five years with 海角论坛's five-year combined B.S/M.S. Biology program. You’ll begin research with a faculty member in your second or third year of undergraduate study and later develop the project into your M.S. Biology thesis. The program emphasis is in ecology, conservation and environmental science. Student thesis topics have ranged from management of endangered species to population genetics.

Facilities
You’ll have opportunities for hands-on study and research activities at 海角论坛’s Biological Field Station on the shores of Otsego Lake in Cooperstown. The research facility contains several multipurpose and analytical laboratories, two lakefront docks, boats, sampling equipment and access to over 2,600 acres of woodlands, bogs, marshes and ponds.

How to Apply
海角论坛 students who expect to graduate from their B.S. in biology program can apply for admission to the combined program in their junior year.
- Contact and make arrangements with a faculty member in the Biology Department willing to serve as your graduate advisor.
- Submit a completed graduate application (the application fee is waived for 海角论坛 students).
- Submit two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from your potential graduate advisor.
- Submit a written statement explaining your purpose/goal for seeking the degree.
