Policy Statement

Resident graduate study is graduate study provided via º£½ÇÂÛ̳ faculty instruction in credit bearing courses, whether they are offered on campus, at an off-campus location, or through distance learning. Unless otherwise specified as part of the State approval/registration of a specific program, students must earn a minimum of 50% of the credits for the award of a º£½ÇÂÛ̳ graduate degree or certificate in resident graduate study.

Rationale

Graduate students should earn at least half of their credits through º£½ÇÂÛ̳ coursework but should have increased flexibility to transfer credits from other institutions or to receive credit via a defined prior learning process.

Applicability of the Policy

This policy applies to all º£½ÇÂÛ̳ graduate students.
