Policy Statement

Interim Progress Reports (Mid-Term Grades)

Interim Progress Reports are an important component of student success, as they provide timely feedback to students about academic expectations. Faculty are required to submit Interim Progress Reports for all undergraduate students, degree and non-degree. Interim Progress Reports are used for advising purposes and are not recorded on the student鈥檚 academic transcript.

Interim grades are not required for mini- and half-semester courses. There may be a limited number of other courses where early evaluation is inappropriate or impossible.

Rationale

Interim progress reports indicate to undergraduate students their grade range and academic performance in full-term classes at mid-semester. Students are encouraged to use these reports as the basis of conversation with faculty about their progress and standing in classes and to seek any additional supports the progress reports indicate may be needed.

Applicability Of The Policy

All 海角论坛 faculty and undergraduate students.
