Energy Planning
With an annual energy budget of $3.7 million, 海角论坛 has both financial and environmental incentives to reduce its reliance on fossil fuel, a finite resource. 海角论坛 recently completed it鈥檚 Clean Energy Master Plan- a framework for a financially sustainable energy program that focuses on energy-intensity reduction goals, which supports meeting the carbon reduction goals of the campus, and provides reliable low-carbon and resilient energy sources that enable and enhance the campus mission. 海角论坛 is targeting energy efficiency projects through technology advances as well as energy reduction initiatives through behavioral changes.
REV Campus Challenge Leader
海角论坛 has been recognized with a REV Campus Challenge Leader badge for 2020 from NYSERDA. This badge recognizes our investment in clean energy projects across our campus, embracing clean energy curricula and research and development, and our aim to engage further with their communities.
Energy Mandates
海角论坛 is subject to New York State Mandates and SUNY System Administration and State University Construction Fund (SUCF) Directives associated with energy and carbon (i.e., greenhouse gases (GHG)) reduction targets that include the following:
