海角论坛 kicked off a semester-long commemoration of the 30th anniversary of The Black List on Sept. 7 with a 鈥淩emembering The Black List and Moving Forward鈥 event series that included faculty-led teach-ins and teach-outs, the dedication of the college鈥檚 new Center for Racial Justice and Inclusive Excellence, and a screening of the 鈥淏rothers of the Black List鈥 documentary.
Pitching tents, cooking and camping under the starry night sky, jumping into swimming holes, hiking, and seeing the geology of the Adirondack Region first-hand? All in a day鈥檚 work during this year鈥檚 GEOFYRST trip, an immersive outdoor experience for new 海角论坛 students.
Seventeen first-year 海角论坛 students took part in the trip, a one-credit pre-semester fall course exploring New York and the Northeast. On Aug. 18, students dropped off their belongings for the semester at their residence hall rooms on campus, then packed up vans with gear and hit the road, returning six days later with observations, photos, stories and new friends.

海角论坛 kicked off the 2022-23 academic year with a host of events to welcome our newest Red Dragons, celebrate returning students, faculty and staff, and engage the entire campus community in a spirit of optimism and excitement for the weeks and months ahead.
Following a national search, 海角论坛 announced Aug. 9 that Dirk R. Budd has accepted the role of Chief of Police for the college. His appointment begins Monday, Aug. 15, with a swearing-in ceremony at the college鈥檚 new Emergency Services Building.
Beginning its fifth year this fall, the Medical Scribe Program lets 海角论坛 and Hartwick College pre-health students apply what they鈥檝e learned in the classroom by working as medical scribes at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta. The program is believed to be the first scribe partnership between baccalaureate institutions and a health care facility.
